Biography 

  • Stan Lee (real name Stanley Martin Lieber) is a popular American comic book author, producer, screenwriter and actor.
  • He was born on December 28, 1922 in New York. By signing his first works with the pseudonym Stan Lee, he “saved” his real name in order to sign a serious novel for them, which he hasn’t yet written.
  • In addition to what later became one of the most famous publishers of the comic book Marvel Comics, Stan Lee joined at the age of 16. Just a year later, he was the youngest editor in the comics business.
  • Soon the Second World War began and Stan joined the army, where he served in the liaison forces. However, even here his talent was in demand.
  • For three years of his service, Stan Lee has been writing instructions and creating educational films for all branches of the military.
  • Among other things, Stan Lee was one of nine people in the entire US Army who received the “playwright” military classification.
  • In 2012, Stan Lee had a heart surgery - a pacemaker was implanted into him. 
  • Since childhood, Lee was fascinated by reading and kept the love of books for life. In 2016, due to serious problems with his eyesight, Li had to give up reading.
  • Stan Lee lived all his life in marriage with one woman. In December 1947, Stan married Joan Clayton Bukok . 
  • She was a model and voice actress. In 1950, the couple had a daughter. In 1953, another daughter Stan lived only three days after birth. In the summer of 2017, Joan died at the age of 95 years.
